Customer demand leads Brown Earth to
increasingly specialise in child-friendly gardens

High customer demand has lead innovative young garden designer Claire Reading of Brown Earth Landscapes to increasingly focus her skills on designing and building child-friendly gardens.

Brown Earth moved to Scotland from London back in March of this year with the head office now based in Edinburgh. Brown Earth Landscapes offers a friendly and professional service, guiding each client from conception to completion of any project - be it garden design, landscaping, planting plans, plant supply or just simply some advice.

With an emphasis on creating vibrant gardens with lifelong style and elegance, Brown Earth Landscapes is unique in the market place in that it now offers a dedicated family orientated garden design, landscaping and build service.

Brown Earth guides each client from conception to completion of any project and will often work alongside architects and craftsmen, making the process as seamless and stress free as possible.

Set up in 2002 by Claire Reading, Brown Earth has been involved in all manner of projects – from winning a Silver Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2004 for ‘The Woolworths Garden’ to creating the organic potager garden at The River Café in London, no project proves too daunting for the enthusiastic and energetic garden designer.

Claire says “The number of clients that have approached me with a view to creating a safe yet exciting space for their children to play in has been amazing. With summer underway, people are starting to consider how they can get the most out of their garden, with a view to how their kids can enjoy the space in complete safety too. Brown Earth is currently involved in a rich variety of child-orientated projects. One project for a client in Murrayfield has involved creating a specially designed tree house complete with a ships sail providing shelter and shade, a bamboo maze, a picnicking area and a 'rolly polly' bank for the kids to roll down . It’s very creative and should certainly keep their children busy over the summer!”.
